    To CNN's credit, they did qualify Fryer's point as hypothetical.

    You're right MIB, however if you have a chance to watch it again, note how that component of the show was framed. The producers didn't identify any of Fryer's critics here by name. They didn't even allow one of them to speak. By simply stating that it's hypothetical, while giving Fryer the bulk of the time to promote his theories, they in effect supported it.
